The world-renowned American company Pantone, which produces systems used in the printing industry, is considered by many to be the benchmark when it comes to color. For more than 20 years, Pantone has announced what color will dominate the coming year. In 2021, two colors took the podium: the muted grey of Ultimate Grey and the warm, mustard yellow of Illuminating Yellow. 2022 was defined as a year of change and growth. Following these predictions, Pantone chose Very Peri as the color of the year. This color is a combination of warm blue and energizing purple. However, this color is nowhere near Pantone’s Ultra Purple color of the year chosen for 2018.

According to the manufacturers, the Vera Peri color brings a breath of fresh air to reality, meant to stimulate creativity. The color of the year 2022 is identified with the connection of the digital world with the physical world. In turn, the Pantone institute itself defines the color as follows: “Digital design helps us push the boundaries of reality, opening the door to a dynamic virtual world where we can explore and create new color possibilities.” Very Peri is thus referred to as the new reality in interiors.

PANTONE 17-3938 says that the color of the year chosen by them is also a sign of bold curiosity and self-confidence. The colors chosen by the institute usually made their mark on interior trends quite strongly. The year 2022 will show whether the color of Vera Peri will make itself at home in our interiors or we will be indifferent to it.
